Here is a few questions we have been asked before.

Do you have any Builders in my area?

How long does it take to build?

There are two main phases when building a home, pre-construction and construction.  These two components can take 3-4 months and anywhere from 6-18 months respectively, depending on the size and complexity of the design.

What is the process of building a home?

As mentioned, there are two main stages when building a home, pre-construction and construction.

Broken down, the building stages are:

  • The design process
  • Planning approval
  • Documentation and finance
  • Building permit
  • Construction
  • Handover

How much does it cost to build a home with DRH?

Price depends on so many things, including size, design and materials. Please contact your local builder to have an obligation free chat about building a home with us.

I am on a budget, what can you do for me?

We make luxury affordable. We understand that you have a budget, so we will work with you to create a home that you love within it!

Can I customise your House Plans?

Yes, all of our plans are able to be altered to suit your lifestyle and needs.

Can I design a custom home with you?

Yes, we can help you design a unique luxury home and recommend the best architects for what you want.

I already have my own plans, can you build it?

If you already have plans drawn up by your own architect, we would be more than happy to build it for you!

Can I choose the fixtures and fittings for my home?

Of course! This is YOUR home, we want it to feel like it! You get to decide on colour schemes, fixtures and fittings and so much more. You are more than welcome to source your own fixtures and fittings if you wish.

My block will be hard to build on. Can you still do it?

Yes! We can work with all kinds of ‘difficult’ sites. Land in remote locations, sloping blocks, all types of soil, no challenge is too hard for us.

Am I able to visit the Home while it is being built?

Yes. A member of our team can accompany you if you require site access at any time. You may not visit the site without us, as all site visitors must adhere to a strict safety policy.

Will I be involved in the process? Who will I be in contact with throughout the build?

Of course! You will be involved every step of the way. You will be speaking with your builder and site supervisor throughout the whole process.

We keep you up to date with the progress of the build through our construction management software, so you will always know what is happening and an estimated date for completion.

What happens if I move into the home and I find out something isn’t right?

You contact your builder!  In addition to the statutory warranty, we cover defects in the build for up to 12 months after handover.  All warranties and guarantees are covered by manufacturers warranty from our trusted suppliers.
